The top place to see in Puerto Madryn is Peninsula Valdes. There you can spot sea lions, penguins, whales, and elephant seals at different times of the year. January is the best time to go there however because you can see three of them. Indeed it is a rare opportunity for Puerto Madryn tourists. Punta Loma is another place to see in Puerto Madryn. It is a sea lion reserve located 17 kilometers southwest of the city. Punta Tombo is another must see place in Puerto Madryn. There you can have boat trips from June to March to spot Commerson’s dolphins.
